I completed my Bachelor of Commerce from Pune University and
qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2017. Following my
CA qualification, I pursued specialized courses in Information
Systems Audit, Bank Audits, Forensic Accounting, and Fraud
Detection, all from the Institute of Chartered Accountants
of India (ICAI).
I began trading in equities and derivatives in 2018, expanding my portfolio to include currencies and
commodities such as base metals, crude oil, natural gas, and agro commodities in 2022. My
background in banking has also provided me with a solid understanding of fixed income
investments(G-Sec, Bonds).
Since qualifying as a CA, my practice has primarily focused on Bank Audits, Project Finance for
MSMEs, and Stock Audits, particularly in Working Capital Assessment for Banks. In 2021, I was
honored to be selected as a Member of the Board of Management for Cosmos Co-operative Bank, the
second largest co-operative bank in India. My professional experience with banks has provided me
with a deep understanding of their operations at both the branch and management levels, while also
giving me exposure to a variety of sectors. This experience has enhanced my understanding of business cycles, financial requirements, and the
root causes of business failures. Additionally, I serve as a co-opted member of the Financial Market
and Investors Protection Committee of the Western India Regional Council (WIRC) of ICAI.
Growing up in a joint family, I gained practical experience in a wide range of industries, as my
father and uncles were involved in diverse businesses such as agro commodities trading, agro
industries (oil mills), textile industries (ginning & pressing), steel galvanizing, warehousing,
auto dealerships (Eicher), FMCG wholesale (Hindustan Unilever), retail (pharmacy), and industrial
infrastructure development (solar, PEB, fire fighting). This upbringing gave me an in-depth
understanding of various aspects of business cycles, risks, challenges, and compliance in these
industries.
Moreover, my Grandfather founded a Omparkash Deora Co-Operative Bank as well as an Apex Co-Operative
Bank (the banker bank for Maharashtra and Goa). My father and uncles have held, and continue to
hold, key positions in the banking association, RBI committee's, consumer product distributors
association, agriculture market committee, and industrial associations, which has further enriched
my knowledge of these sectors and their unique challenges.
